If you have more than one instant messenger (like AOL, Yahoo or MSN) then you should download (for free) Trillian.
It takes about five minutes to download and install(even on my really slow PC) and it combines all of the messenger services. Instead of having to open up each one - in fact, you dont even need to download any of the IM's (like Yahoo) as it just asks you for your ID and password!
Its really good - any problems/comments let me know.

There's one more in the category of Universal Instant Messengers. It can be found at http://messenger.indiatimes.com . Download size of about 1.56 MB.

There was one more earlier called Jabbar. But I think that has been discontinued now and the domain name jabbar.com is for sale :)
