    Hi,
I'm running Windows 7 on a Lenovo T410 and tried to use Skype today and it stated no camera found, I looked in device manager and under imaging devices the camera has disappeared. Now the camera is obviously still there as it's integrated so I have no idea why or how it could have gone it has always worked fine in the past.
Please see pic - the HP Envy is our printer.
Any ideas how I get it back ?

OK some progress has been made but still not getting image from cam. The integrated camera is now showing in device manager but if I try to use it in Skype I just get a black box as pic below. I tried to look in the thinkvantage software and it also now shows in there with a preview tile but when clicked it gives a message that the camera is in use by another application - doesn't tell me what application and nothing else is running so I am confused.

New development - I have USB not recognised message showing up and in DM the yellow exclamation, as pic below. If I open it and update the driver it just says the best is already installed - the integrated camera has now disappeared again as well.

In Device Manager right-click on the Unknown Device > Properties > Details tab, under Property select Hardware IDs with the drop down arrow then right-click the top entry under Value and paste it into your next reply please.

Ok, try uninstalling the Unknown Device then restart the computer.

OK uninstalled and restarted - on restart got message that driver was not installed successfully. When I got into DM the unknown USB with a problem was back again.

Try a System Restore to before the camera disappeared.

Also tried that yesterday to the earliest that was in the limited list but when it came back on the camera was listed as "virtual camera" for some reason rather than integrated. It's all very strange.

Also this USB not recognised message has been coming up for about 8 months but I never took any notice of it because it never seemed to interfere with anything. It wasn't until I needed to use the cam that this all came to light. I have uninstalled it before now but it always returns again after a day or two.
