I have recently bought an Asus b550 A-gaming board and after playing around with it (it worked originally) the port no longer recognizes the ethernet cable in it. I got a temporary work around with an ethernet to USB but i need help. What should I do? I read on Intel's site I need to update my NVM but I havnt a clue any help would be great!
Can you be more specific with respect to what you mean by "playing around with it"? From a cursory search, I found the following and this might be worth checking out...
1. Press F2 during boot to enter BIOS Setup.
2. Go to Advanced > Devices > Onboard Devices.
3. Check the box to enable LAN.
5. Press F10 to save and exit BIOS.
yeah so I was just going through downloading some gamesfrom Steam thatI had previously owned nothing big. But I did try that and switched it on and off to no result . I emailed asus and they sent me a general list of things that I could do but I'm completely lost . I'm running the 1.0.2.6 drivers for Intel adapter. I've updated bios but still nothing … maybe I need to go to older driver version?
