I keep getting cut off the internet. I will run the internet troubleshooter and it will be back online again and then it stops again.
Help! My provider says it's my laptop and can't help me. I have a modem from Astound and a Netgear router. Thank you!! Deana

Make sure you have the latest wireless drive from the PC manufacturer's web site.

Does this problem also occur with an ethernet connection?

Thank you Terrynet. Yes I was still having problems plugged into the internet directly. I did a system restore and it seems the problem went away. I recently downloaded and installed some updates from the HP Support Assistant and I think that was the problem.
I tried to download some updates and some failed including a new bios. The download failed it said. Do I have to get off wireless and plug into the laptop directly to the internet to be a success?

Could you please tell me how to get a screenshot to you. I tried attaching once and I think I was told not to do it that way. I'm still a beginner at some of these things. Also, if I make this solved can you still answer my question concerning the downloads?

If you need help with a screen shot see TSG Posting a Screenshot. FWIW to take screen shots with Windows 8 or 7 or Vista I prefer to use the built-in Snipping Tool.
