I am running Windows 7 home premium, 64bit. My trouble is that I can only connect to the Internet via a browser. Any updates that require Internet connection when outside the browser will not work. I am also experiencing the need to obtain certificates for every untrusted site, which may explain why I am unable to connect to the Internet outside a browser.
My other desktop via a wired connection and laptops via wireless connections do not have this problem.

I have attempted to check Windows security settings, turning off both Windows firewall and the Comodo Internet security software that I am using. Please help with suggestions. Thanks.

Uninstall Comodo and, if necessary, run the Removal Tool. Any change?
