Internet being very finicky

Im using Windows Vista 32 bit Home premium connected through a Linksys wireless router, the WRT54G ( model number ). I am runnning wired though.

There is one other pc running wired through the modem and two laptops that rarely use the wireless.

All the other computers connect to the internet no problem. But this one is very picky. Sometimes it wants to connect to the same thing twice so i used CMD to "route delete 0.0.0.0" which fixed it for a while but now that doesnt work.

Then sometimes it works fine. Theres no yellow "!" in device manager and the network card has all available updates.

Note: I just reinstalled windows to hopefully solve this but after all the windows updates it started again

Sounds like maybe a driver problem with the NIC. Since all the other machines are not having a problem, it is likely that it's not the router and just that machine. Go to the manufacturer's website and try to download an updated driver for the NIC. See if that clears up the problem.
