I recently connected a Linksys Workgroup Switch to my cable modem. I am trying to share my cable internet connection between 2 computers both running XP. Do I need a HUB and a SWITCH or should the SWITCH work by itself? So far I can't get an internet connection to the 2nd computer but the green light on the PCI card is flashing. All help will be greatly appreciated.

    First Name:
i think you need to get a router - all you have I THINK is a hub - nut i dont know that linksys product.

you could use ICS internet connection sharing - but its not that great - The with the modem is then connected to the HUB and has ICS enabled

    then you coukld share

I second the recommendation, get a broadband router. Don't screw around with ICS, you'll just pull your hair out. :)
