Hi
I've been having problems connecting to the internet from my laptop at home. I have 2 computers here, a desktop and the lap. the desktop connects to the internet alright, but the laptop says it's connected but i can't access any websites or use the internet at all. I'm using a router for the lap, which is also connected to a modem for the desktop. I noticed i had that internet gateway connection thing so I got rid of it on my laptop, but I still can't connect to the internet. I found the same Internet Gateway icon on the desktop, but I couldn't delete it. I did the same thing going through Control Panel, Add/Remove programs/AddRemove Windows Components/Networking Services/Details...but the internet gateway wasn't there. even though it still shows under my network connections. The funny thing is that the desktop works fine, and the laptop doesn't. so i don't know what to do. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

On the laptop, do this:

For 98 or ME, Start, Run, COMMAND to open a DOS window:
--- or ---
For 2K or XP, Start, Run, CMD to open a DOS window:

Type the following command:

IPCONFIG /ALL

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.
