To start off, let me say that I'm a complete and utter noob to technical things. Sure I know how to install programs, use Windows Explorer, and use the control panel; but I'm entirely lost on most other things. It doesn't help that I grew up with a Mac. Also I'm a high school student, so I don't exactly have the time to invest my time completely in solving this problem on my own.

Anyway, World of Warcraft is lagging really badly and I often get disconnected. I suspect that this issue is mostly my fault (most things are), but as I said, I'm a technical noob so I have no clue what to do.

Err... here's this, if it's important. I suspect it is... I'll try to provide more details if needed.

Well first thing I notice is you're using wireless connection.

Does the WiFi icon on the computer in the taskbar have full signal strength?

What's the make and model of the router and modem?

Who's the ISP?

Do you have problems with any other games or websites?

Sorry for the late response, I've been a bit busy.

The WiFi icon in the taskbar usually displays 4/5 bars, occasionally going up to 5/5, and down to 3/5. I really don't think it's particularly accurate...

Some sort of Xfinity technicolor Tc8305c... thing?? Sorry, this is what I was talking about when I said I'm a noob.

According to whoismyisp.org, it's Comcast Cable. I hope that's what you're looking for.

My problems and lag is consistent with everything.

Look for a label on the modem and post that info here please.

Can you test with a direct connection between router and computer with an Ethernet cable?

If problems persist, bypass router and connect direct to modem.

If direct connection solves problem, we know its a WiFi issue
