    Okay so I have an Acer laptop, and right now I'm on Safe Mode With Networking as this gives me internet. Normally, it says I'm connected to internet but when I use Google Chrome it's just blank and in the bottom left corner says "resolving proxy." And Internet Explorer does not work, a couple of days ago I, by accident, disabled Local Internet Connection 2 and then a day later the problems started happening. (Can't download songs, can't play MMORPG, etc.)

    I'm not sure if this is what started the problems, and sometimes my desktop does not work, I thought I had a virus so I did a scan but I come clean, so I'm unsure of what to do, thank you...

    Remove Google Chrome proxy settings:

    http://www.addictivetips.com/internet-tips/google-chrome-proxy-server-settings/

    Open Internet Explorer. Click Tools > Internet Options > Connections > Lan settings > Proxy server > Advanced > delete proxy server settings > click OK > uncheck all boxes > click OK.

    In Firefox, click Tools > Options... > General > Advanced > Network > Settings > delete proxy settings > select No proxy > click OK.

    ===================================================================

    Please click HERE to download and install HijackThis.

    Run it and select Do a system scan and save a logfile from the Main Menu.

    The log will be saved in Notepad. Copy and paste the log in your next post.

    IMPORTANT: Do not fix anything

    Never install more than one firewall or antivirus on a computer.

    I would get rid of McAfee with the McAfee Consumer Product Removal Tool after uninstalling it from "Programs and Features".

    Alright, well I got the internet back and thank you for that. But, my problem with not being able to download songs and other things that seem to require multiple sources, I'm not exactly sure. My brother's computer works fine when he downloads songs and other things that my computer won't. For example: Can't play any games, when I download they don't start up. It says that I need more sources. I'm not sure if it is fixable as they use to work before I disabled one of the Internet Connections and unsure of how to get it back but thank you for the helpful tips and I appreciate it.

    Are you talking about songs and other stuff downloaded from FrostWire?

    Not just Frost Wire but other things too, it seems I can't download things that need multiple sources. (Not really sure how to word it...)
