Internet connection sharing (winME to win98)

    ok i am trying to set up my PCs to share a 56k modem connection to the internet i have set them up using the wizard that comes with the winME but it still is not working. is there something i need to do in my network properties or what else could it be?
    if it is something in the properties what do i need to do?

    I asume that your network is working otherwise. I also assume that the Me machine the proxy server (the one you will use to connect to the ISP). When you set it up, it should have asked you if you wanted to create a setup disk (floppy) for the Win98 computer. You should allow it to create the disk, then put the floppy in the '98 machine and run the network setup program that was created on it.

    Also, make sure that Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) is not installed on the client ('98) machine. If it is, you will have to uninstall it and then use the floppy.
