I am running the Win 98 Se version of ICS. The network is intact (both computers appear in the Network N'hood file), but the client computer cannot access the internet.
Is there a setting I am missing?
I have gone through it a hundred times tring different configs but still have same result.
Any info would be very helpful. Thanks.

    Try checking this

Open IE, go to tools, Internet option, connections, Lan settings. Check to make sure Auto detect settings, Use auto config script and Use proxy are NOT checked. These items should only be checked if you provider specifically requested you check them.
I had this prob on my 2nd machine until I changed these settings.

    Good Luck

In you IE browser goto Tools...Internet Options.
Click on the Connections tab and then on LAN settings. Under Proxy Server be sure Bypass proxy server for local addresses is checked. That worked for my network set up.

    Good luck

If you are using Dial-up try downloading Sygate's Internet connection sharing tool. It's much better than Microsoft's version and much more stable.

I was able to have both my computers online playing the same game with sygate but was unable to do this with Microsoft's ICS.
