Did you remove the virus completely? I need more info- computer specs (make & model) and which ISP you are using. Wireless? Broadband?

I need to see what networks are on your computer here's how:

Start, Run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt:

    Type the following command:

    IPCONFIG /ALL

[Note that there is no space between the slash and ALL.]

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

I may be off here, but does anyone think that it is perhaps because the , as noted above, DHCP is not enabled?

I will give this one a shot...

    MsMom, please do the following:

start menu > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services > On the next window that pops up, look for "DHCP Client", note the "startup type". If it says "stopped", right-click the DHCP Client, then properties... and a dialog box will appear. Under the General tab, look for "start". Click that and then see what it says under startup type. It should say "started". Once you do this, please take the steps VictoriaiiCe gave to you. Post the results again, please.

Edit* MsMom, you may want to check the following as well. It has worked for me when I had a similar issue:

Check to see if your TCP/IP properties are set to Obtain IP Address Automatically.

On your desktop right click on MY Network Places then click on Properties. Under LAN or High Speed Internet double click on Local Area Connection. Click on properties. In the window scroll down to Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). Double click on it. The next page that comes up is where you set it to obtain an IP address automatically.

If anything is unclear, please feel free to ask.

What I *think* we are looking for here, is for the "Dhcp Enabled:.....................No", to say "yes". I could be wrong, though.
