I continue to get booted off the net, I have checked disk errors, modem, and all I know, have defragged frequently...but continue to get kicked offline. Any ideas?

Is is a certain amount of time every time? Do you run Outlook Express?

This might sound silly....but I take it you are using dial-up.
Is so...do you have *70 in front of the # your modem calls? Even if you don't have call waiting you should apply it as often the phone co. will enable call waiting as a promotional aspect or its on for no apparent reason.

If you are using a dialup of any kind you should use *70


Savvy :)

PS... in other words an incoming call would break the connection.

Two of the most common causes I've run into are bad access numbers -- try different ones if you can (make sure they're local!) -- and bad phone lines. For the latter you can call your phone company and ask them to check the line.
