    Hi there,

I have recently installed an old copy of Windows XP onto my laptop. It is the original XP, with no upgrades or service packs included. In order to fully update this version, i need to gain access to the internet, and download all the necessary updates. Herein lies my problem. I have been able to connect to my home wireless network, after changing the wireless security to the older WEP form. While the laptop is telling me that i have connected to the home network, I can't seem to gain access to the internet connection which is shared thru said network. Any ideas?

Revert even further. Turn off encryption all-together. You can always re-enable it once things are back up to speed.
