I attempted to download Internet Explore 6. When I completed the download and attempted to continue, I got the following error message.

"Internet Explorer 6 Setup

Extracting file failed.
It is most likely caused byl low memory (low disk space for swapping file) or corrupted Cabinet file."

I don't think I have low memory. What is wrong?

If you do have sufficient hard drive space for virtual memory, it sounds like you may need to re-download - as it says, a cabinet file (or more than one) may have been corrupted. Files are more prone to corruption when they are downloaded during peak times or over an unstable connection. Also, clear out your temp files and temporary internet files regularly (see http://www.ematic.com/techpost/files ), and disable any internet filtering software you have running before re-downloading.

Also may need to clean up the cache... dump all the temporary files giving room there .
Try cold booting before downloading again as well.

you might wanna consider getting BigFix to help you with your system updates.... its a great program & makes your downloading easier.
