It is annoying and it keeps on popping up? What can I do short of srestoring my system. I treid uninstalling IE, but it returns to IE 5 which has the same problem. Someone please help me. Thanks.

Hi wezz

If you post your startup list we may be able to spot something

Please post your startup list by doing the following :-

Please go here and download startuplist 1.52 :-

http://www.lurkhere.com/~nicefiles/

Download to any folder or your desktop
Unzip the zipfile
Double click the exe file
go to Edit - select all - copy - and paste the results in a new post here

Post your startup list first - then we will probably ask you to d'load and run spybot
This could be a spyware\foistware\malware\adware problem

In the meantime...

Download AdAware from www.lavasoft.de

It removes a lot of spyware & ad-ware from your computer.

Also - get PopUpStopper - from www.panicware.com

Its free (not quite as nice as it used to be since they've gotten POPULAR) - it works like a charm.

I don't see 99% of any pop-ups. When you get it, turn on the POP sound #2 for when its doing its job. :)

Didn't have any problem finding their free download.

Its on the products page

http://www.panicware.com/product_psfree.html

I don't care for the "automatic" updates not being optional.

yeah yeah... I'll firewall it too..

Also to the original poster:

download zonelarm from www.zonealarm.com

very good free firewall...
