Internet Explorer and Hotmail

Can't get to sign into hotmail using internet explorer. It brings up other pages, but using netscape I can get into my hotmail. I am actually thinking it might be the settings on my internet explorer browser. Can anyone help? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Did you download from Netscape or Internet Exployer?

I don't use IE6 and if there is a repair option in Control Panel, you may consider using that. Open Control Panel and browse to your IE listing and hit delete, a window will open where you are presented 3 choices; choose repair and follow the directions. Good Luck.

What bugs me is when I open IE(I use 5.50)and then hotmail to compose an email, the blank message window will "jump" once and then it stops and I can begin addressing my email. Sometimes I will start to address the email and I have to start over because the window is not fully loaded--apparently!!

PS Is your IE browser set as your default browser?

WHOOPS, you didn't indicate which IE browser you use BUT the same repair option is available beginning with IE5.50, I think.

i finally got around to trying that, but it did not work. I am going to try to install it from the xp cd, to see if that helps. thanks for the suggestion.
