Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close(ModName: browseui.dll)

    I am getting annoying problem with IE
    when i am trying to lauch any website following message is coming
    Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
    with following details on clicking Click here
    AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106 ModName: browseui.dll
    ModVer: 6.0.2800.1400 Offset: 00007974

    have searched alot with ModName as browseui.dll but could not get any help

    no the symptoms are different plusit is for 98 and ME while i am on XP
    This resolution is of no use for my problem.

    I have received that message a number of times over the past years and got it again just recently while working with my CD burner software called "Speedy CD".

    I don't know what is going on but after notifying Microsoft which you can do in that window that is presented along with the "Encounter problem notice", I did nothing and the problem was gone a few days later when I went back to that software program.

    Have Microsoft gave any patch as there is nothing on support site of microsoft

    I downloaded IE service pack 1 but still problem persists.
    Should i download XP service pack 2??
