I'll be brief. After trying to download a third party freeware (Japanese version) "Mystartups" search page hijacked my Windows Explorer 11. It started to attack my browser with uninvited software downloads and I had trouble closing all the windows. I shut down and restarted in Safemode and then installed Malwarebytes and did a complete scan and clean. I restarted and repeated a complete scan with Malwarebytes Premium version. I then uninstalled what was left of the malware from Control Panel and all shortcuts.

But despite selecting Windows Explorer 11 as default on my internet options "Mystartups" continues to come up on the browser when I turn on. I cannot see this software on the Control Panel. I cannot see any date associated with it or other name and it does not seem to be on My Add Ons either.

I would be very thankful to this forum, and site if any member or specialist could help me with safe steps to remove it. I will gladly furnish you with any more information you need.
