This problem started a couple of weeks ago. certain sites will close instantly ie.. Ebay opens, I can buy or search...then I hit sell, enter password..I get bumped back to my start page. There are other sites that this happens to. We have been selling on ebay and this has never happened before. Any Ideas?
    Thank you.

Have you scanned for a virus or worm. Also, some spyware will cause this to happen in IE. Is this XP Home? You can do a Google search for Spybot. It's free. Download Spybot and install it. Be sure to update it and then run it. Remove everything it finds and see if IE works correctly afterwards. But, do the virus scan first to make sure your system is clean.

As a clean-up step. RIGHT click IE desktop icon and choose Properties. Delete Temp Internet files and History by clicking the buttons. OK out and restart IE.

start menu, program files, system utilities (and then sometimes system tools) and then restore and then restore it to an ealier date?
If so try that! It works for me sometimes!!
Also there is a patch at the Microsoft site you can download. DO NOT download that one that comes in your email. That is a virus.
Microsoft NEVER sends patches or updates via email. You have to go to their site and do a scan to see what updates are available for your computer!!
    Good Luck!!

Open IE and navigate to this link. http://www.doxdesk.com If you have a parasite installed, it will detect it. I don't use the site for anything else.

no they didn't give me a restore CD. I will call them about it. (Iguess they want me to call them if there is a problem) They are good but hard to get an appointment.
I went to DOXDesk , it found 2 parasites.,Access plugin & adult links. I will work on removing them. I am not computer literate, so please be patient with me. I also ran HouseCall , no virus.
