My laptop is running very slow and when I try to open up internet explorer I get an error message(no add-ons). I tried to enable the add-ons by clicking on tools but it continuously refreshes the window and the same error message pops up. Emachines model#m622-uk8x. Windows xp. I do not know what else to do. Also I am unable to do a system restore. Thanks

Go to the start icon in the bottom left hand corner, click start, all programs, accessories, system tools, and then click internet explorer (no add-ons) mode. Does your browser work that way?

You won't be able to use any add-ons in this mode, though. So you most likely want to disable all add-ons through this way, and then make sure your browser works when you aren't in this mode. Then, you can start re enabling add-ons to find the one that is the culprit of your problem. Also, if your problem is solved, make sure to mark the thread as solved.
