I have a Problem with Internet Explorer when opening a Link in a New Window. Whenever I try to Open a Link in a New window, the Window will come up but then Sort of Freeze. I say sort of because it doesn't really "Freeze" but it's almost as if it gets stuck mid-way while opening. I'll Open and the ToolBar stays active but the Display Window itself freezes with the Previous Window's Image Frozen on it.

The only way to get it to finish opening is to press the Stop button and then click refresh to try to reload the page.

Anyone know what's the matter? What's worse is that this error is preventing my Windows Update from completing and I can't update to attempt to repare it.

    Hi,

The fix on this post might work for you too. Worth a try: Reset Web Settings

    Hope this helps.
