Most times I exit a website, I am left with a Script Error message window. It reads:

An error has occured in the script on this page.

    Line: 4
    Char: 1
Error: The RPC server is unavailable
    Code: 0
    URL: http://www.adsrve.com/p2.php?i=690029&t=19/01/03 8:09:23 AM&u[0]=597

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? Yes/No

I have double-checked my browser settings and "Display a notification about every script error" is cleared and "Disable script debugging" is checked (which are the default settings).

I run Win98, IE6 and I also have a PopUp Killer active? Can anyone offer a solution to this annoying window please?

    Would you please do this?

Go to http://www.spywareinfo.com/downloads.php#det , and download 'Hijack This!'.
Unzip, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log somewhere, and please show us its contents.

Thank you both for your advice on how to fix my problem. I also contacted panicware.com to ask them if they could help with my error message, believing it might relate to a pop-up. They've suggested I try their newest program which I have since downloaded. I've taken this option because I am not a computer whizz and I don't fully understand your replies. Thanks anyway. I appreciate your time and effort.

In Internet Explorer, Click on Tools, then Internet Options.
Click the Advanced tab at the top right, then click, restore defaults at the lower right, click ok. Close IE and reopen and see if that don't fix it. It should

Thank you very much for your suggestion. After restoring the defaults in Internet Explorer, the only thing that has changed is a few minor detail on my Error Window.
I took the easy path and downloaded the latest popup stopper, but I have since discovered that it is not working in my particular case.
I found adsrve.com in my history files and have since deleted them. I don't know if this will help or not.
    Thanks anyway for your help.
