    Ditto...........ive been using opera since 3.5 and its by far quicker and lighter than IE.

    Another Opera fan here. They don't describe MS products as "swiss cheese" for nothing... :D

    So will Opera do pretty much all the JAVA etc?

    Absolutely John..........Its a bit quirky at times but you will grow to love it like an old comfy pair of underpants that you just wont throw away:D
    and its noticeably faster than IE.

    ;)

    Yes Opera gives you Sun's Java with its installation. I think Microsoft's VM should still be updated though -- as long as it is on the system it is exploitable.

    I think it was $40 the last time i looked........The ads are not intrusive at all though.

    29 Euro's, excluding VAT ( :rolleyes: ), which is 34 USD. Version 7.2 also gives you the option of using Google's ad's instead of the ususal graphics, which I actually find is quite handy.
