Internet explorer

    I have windows 7 and a sony laptop. My Internet explorer has stopped functioning, any help much appreciated please.

    what happens when you try and start

    see if you can run in safe mode - without any add-ons

    in the search box (click on the start globe, and the search box is at the bottom) type iexplore -extoff then press Enter
    OR
    Hold the Windows key and press R, then type iexplore -extoff then press Enter

    Appreciate the 2 replies, thank you. No luck with first suggestion, and I've no idea what an IE is for the second. Looks like Dell help desk tomorrow!

    IE = internet explorer
    you should be able to click on the tools>about - later version yo may need to click on the spanner
