the internet explorer on my laptop wont open... i click to open it, and it starts to, but then an error mesage pops up... the message suggests restarting the computer and i've tried that several times, and i shut down and after a while rebooted but nothing...

all the message says is "we have encountered a problem and will close explorer"

is there anything i can try to fix this problem?

thanks...

All we're really interested in is the first line: the main error message.

Example: "Iexplore caused an invalid page fault in module Mshtml.dll".

the error message just says "internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close"...
then it gives me the option to send a report to microsoft and to see the details of the report...
when i open the report, it doesnt give me an error like the example u gave me, but it lists all the modules all the down, and then the memory ranges....

in the beginning of the report it says things like flags, exceptions, addresses....
