My dad is running XP and I'm running Vista. I have a DSL router on my PC, he has an adapter. Loading pages is fast, but when it comes to downloading, there's a significant difference. My dad's... plain and simple, is really, really fast. It takes him a minute to download say...20GB, and for me it takes hours, and then it terminates in the middle of it. According to Safari and Firefox, mine goes at about 10KB a second.

Get rid of Vista, it's the worst yet. I know of at least 5 friends who removed Vista and went back to XP. Micro$oft has always released OS's without really testing, they let the public be the testers. I have 2 computers, 1 is a Mac with OSX and the other is a Toshiba with XP. The Best of both worlds but I am partial to my Mac.

Sorry, but that doesn't help me at all.

    One PC @ 350 000 KB/s and another only gets 10 KB/s?

I'd post a HJT log in the security forum.
