I have a windows 8 hp touchsmart notebook and got it in December 2014. I have had no issues until 2 days ago where i can not get on any program that requires internet. I cannot get on Google chrome and when i try it gives me ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT. I cant get on any of my games either. Currently using a different home computer. My internet is password secured, i use kaspersky as internet security and it says that im connected but its not alowing me to access.

Also forgot to add; I had an automatic update a day prior to the issues and it took like an hour to finish

The internet access problem is with both ethernet and Wi-Fi?

Have you Restarted the system since the problem began?

Open a (black) Command Prompt window:
Hold the Windows logo key and press r; in the Run box type cmd and click on OK.

    Type the following command:

    IPCONFIG /ALL

[Note that there is no space between the slash and ALL.]

    [Press ENTER after each command.]

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If necessary use a text file and removable media to copy the results to a computer with internet access.
