what service do you have from the ISP speed wise
remember you share that connection with a lot of people
    contention ratio
it could be 50:1 or 33:1 or 20:1
    just depends on deal

    I have 50:1 on a 1MB line
    my mate has a 8GB on a 33:1
also on business I used to have 512K on a 20:1

    on the 50:1 line I get arounf 750 - 900 K on tests
my mate gets around 5500K in the centre of a town
