hey. im having trouble over my router. since i installed it, my internet speed is very low like 20kbps. when i used my modem, speed goes 64kbps (which is my actual speed provided by ISP). im the only one using this router. so my question is what should i do. OS doesnt support modem.

PS: plz dont tell me mozilla 10x fast speed rubbish.

how are you connected to the router by cable or wireless ?

    - Make and Exact model of Router, Modem or router/modem combination
    - Make and Exact model of all PCs and Laptops
    - What windows version or other OS are running on each laptop Xp, Vista, 7, ubuntu etc
    - Do you have a Firewall - if so it may be blocking access - what firewall / security program do you have ?
    - If using wireless, do you have Encryption - if so, Remove any wireless encryption from the router, and try to connect - post back results
    - If using wireless encryption, try deleting the wireless profiles - post back results

have a look at the settings - a router has a different IP range

So you are replacing the modem with a modem/router combination - I would look for the latest firmware and also reset to factory condition and reset up all the settings
    check things like MTU setting

yes i would start with firewall as a test - just to see if that is causing the issue now you have a router IP

just some additional things to try
if the reset does not work
    1) Use a different LAN port just incase one is faulty
    2) I would set up a fixed IP and DNS on your PC - so its not using DHCP - just incase thats having an issue with DNS at all you will need to find out what the DNS servers are on your ISP - they may be listed under ipconfig /all
    -> Start
-> (XP - enter the following in the RUN box)
    cmd /k ipconfig /all
-> (Vista or Windows 7 - enter the following in the Search box)
    cmd /k ipconfig /all

A black box will appear on the screen -
    rightclick in the box
    select all
    enter
control key + C key - to copy

    then reply here and
control key + V to paste

    link to firmware page

BUT check versions and exact model
