I have windows xp pro. I try to download off the internet and now all of a sudden it won't let me. The error message says that there is not a path to the local settings/temporary files folder. I looked and I can find the folder but I don't understand why this error is here and how to fix it?
In IE go to: Tools>Internet Options, on the General tab click on the Settings button. Then click on Move Folder and navigate to the location you want temp. internet folders saved.
how did you try to download? Can you download to a location of your own choosing, ie- desktop or my documents folder? If its a webpage wanted to download, go to file and then click 'save target as' and choose the location.... if its a file or picture right click it and choose where you want to save it to; in either case see if you suceeded.I'm not sure if you just wanted just to get the temp path going again, or you if you just can't download period.
