    Hi guys,

I seem to be having a problem that is becoming more and more frequent.

Problem: when filling out a webform, perhaps to subscribe to a newsletter or to email a question through the "contact us" section of a website, I am often (not always) receiving a message saying "a valid email address is required" or similar. I have
tried two, sometimes three different email addresses with the same result. I have also used both Google Chrome and Internet Explorer to access the websites.

For example : http://www.trailofpaintedponies.com/ scrolling to the bottom there is a section that says, Subscribe to free e-newsletter. When I enter my email I get back "valid email required."

Could anybody please help explain what might be causing this problem? Happy to provide details of computer etc if you will explain what info you need and how I can access it. I am using Win XP.

    Regards,
    Deb.

Just a guess...Many sites will not recognize email addresses
    from Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.

If all you entered was an email of that sort, that may be
the reason. If you entered an email from your ISP and it
still doesn't work, might just be some problem on their end.

I would use the Contact Us and get in touch with them,
then explain that you would like the newsletter.

Thanks very much for your reply. I have tried two other email addresses besides a hotmail one which are ones from my ISP that often don't work either.

And LOL about the CONTACT US thing - whilst SOME websites allow you to make an enquiry through their contact us page with just your name, most of them require an EMAIL address, which doesn't work haha.

I have since contacted the Trail of the Painted Ponies and asked them to sign me up for their newsletter, so thank you for that.

    All the best,

    Deb.

They had a toll-free phone number - hopefully you were able to
    report their email page error?

Glad to hear you will be receiving their newsletter! (y)

I don't think it's toll free from Australia though - but I have let them know.

    Thanks again,

    Deb.
