Invalid Hibernation Partition/File

    Just put XP Pro in from scratch, when I boot up I get a message saying Invalid Hibernation Partition/file......RUN HDPREPEZ.

    Any ideas, I am very new to this side of things so please only use idiot explanations and solutions

    You may have a utility diskette that came with you laptop that will create or recreate a damaged hibernation file. I had a similar issue with a Dell laptop, though it was with WIN98.

    Also, you may be able to download the the utility(s) from the manufacturer's website.
