invalid page defaults in Microsoft Home Publishing 2000

    I am sure I have posted this problem here before but I can't seem to find my way back to the replies. When working with any project in Microsoft home Publishing I keep getting a
    "invalid page fault'.. this program will shut down....
    It is in "module QDGW.DLL at 017f:4014b301."

    I'm sure that I have followed the steps to correct this problem in the past but the problem keeps recurring.

    When I shut down the program and then restart it I can't open the file I have been working on because "it is being used by another program" ..according to the Home Publishing Program. Even when I shut all open programs I get this message and have to reboot. I can get three or four more steps done in my project and it shuts down again.

    Can anyone help? This is terribly frustrating!

    According to Microsoft there can be other causes for these qdgw.dll errors.

    Have you already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Publishing software?

    Also, is there any mention of the application causing the page faults in qdgw.dll?

    You may benefit by shutting down unneccessarily running programs while running MHP

    Think I did try uninstall and reinstall in the past.

    The message says that microsoft home publishing has caused the page default if I remember correctly.

    Will shutting down unnecessary programs help even when it is HP that is causing the page default?
