HELP! I've got an older Dell that I'm trying to help a friend clean up. This thing is full of spyware, has NEVER been defragged (which I did) and is in pretty bad shape. I installed Norton Systemworks on it, got alot of the crap off of it, but there is still one problem. When I open IE, I get the error message "EXPLORER has caused an invalid page fault in module URLMON.DLL at 0187:70b8cf6". I can't figure this out! I installed and ran Adaware and found 107 spyware objects, which I quaranteened and that only made it worse, I couldn't open IE at all. When I re-started, my norton popped up and error saying "no TCC/IP present". so I had to restore the Adaware quaranteened items just to make the internet work. I went ahead and upgraded the machine from IE 5.5 to 6.0 thinking that would help, but no luck. What a mess. this computer uses a broadband cable connection. I am also posting the hijackthis log. If anyone needs any more info on this please ask. Sorry for the long post & THANKS in advance!!
