Ihave an old (98') packard bell 945 and am using win. 98 OS as well as running Mcafee VirusScan 6.0. When I boot my system I receive an illegal operation message that states "Tsystray caused and invalid page fault in module [email protected]:604f1b94 What does this mean and how can I fix it or stop it from happening?

    Hi,

Tsystray is the System Tray icon for RealJukebox.

Go to Start/Run, type msconfig, and uncheck Real Jukebox on the Startup tab.

Click OK, close Msconfig, and reboot.

    Good luck,

Do you per chance have Real Player starting each time you load windows?

Start button, run, then type msconfig and press ok....go to the startup tab........

You can stop it by power of elimination. I suspect Mcaffee first, so try uninstalling it in the Add/Remove Programs control panel. Then restart computer.

*** When uninstalling any software never remove a Shared Component. Always choose 'No To All', 'Keep' or 'Remove None' when prompted.

A way better antivirus is available, and for free. Get AVG Anti-virus from http://www.grisoft.com if you don't live in the UK. Uninstall Mcaffee after you get it.

    Look Here:

    http://support.microsoft.com/defaul.../support/windows/topics/errormsg/emresctr.asp

    Do this:

Don't stop your anti-virus from starting with Windows in the below System Configuration Utility:

First clean out your Startup folder - Start; Programs; Startup. Right click each item in turn there and choose delete. I have only 'swtray' there, the joystick driver, and it has to be there. On most machines you don't want anything in that folder.

Check your available resources by right-clicking My Computer; clicking Properties; Click the Performance tab. Resources available are displayed as percent there at top. Check it when you get done running the System Configuration Utility mentioned below.

Click the Start button; Run; type 'msconfig', without the quoatation marks, in the Run box and click OK; Then click the Startup tab; Uncheck anything you don't need running in the background. For reference on what's not needed running in the background in the System Configuration Utility, view this website first and print out the list:

    http://www2.whidbey.net/djdenham/Running_items.htm

It's important that you print out the above mentioned list. In color if possible.

    ***

Update your antivirus, temporarily disable your screen saver (choose None) and scan with your anti-virus set to scan All Files. Update and scan bi-monthly. Create your anti-virus' Rescue disk(s) and update them after each Windows anti-virus update.

You can scan on-line to double-check your Windows scanner at http://housecall.antivirus.com

Get free Zone Alarm personal firewall anti-hacker countermeasure from http://www.zonelabs.com. (not the demo) Don't let anything out to the Internet you don't know what it is.

No, just uncheck RealJukebox in Msconfig/Startup, as I advised you to.
    .
This is not about ReaL Player.

    Good luck,
