Can you elaborate on "it won't load"?

What happens when you boot from a Windows 98 boot disk and run the Windows setup on the 98 CD drive?

are you using the cd as a boot device. if so try accessing your bios and use your hard drive as the first boot device. failing that access the comand promt by pressing f8 during boot and then command promp only. then use fdisk to remove the partition and creat a new one and reformat it

Hi , thanks for replying . what i meant on it won't load is I used to format c: and then put the boot disk and 98 se cd then it just automatically install .now it just go all the way to load all the diagnostic tools then a: prompt just wondering how come it won't do it automatically? i did fdisk deleted partition and created a new one then format c: again still sam results.

After you did an FDISK and FORMAT C:, then reboot to the A:> prompt and key in SETUP.

Not quite Automatic :)
