IObit Security 360 vrs CCleaner

    A local 'guru' told me that I should not have both IObit Security 360 and CCleaner on my computer at the same time. Is he right? And which one should is better? I have WIN XP.

    I don't use either. However, were someone to stick a gun in my ear and say choose one, I'd go with CCleaner, as long as you do NOT use the registry option.

    I use ATF by Atribune, disk defrag, and pagedefrag on my xp rigs, and that's it. Defrag the disk a couple times a year, and that's that.

    IObit has had some issues with bad stuff in the past, and I've had to fix a few dozen rigs that the CCleaner reg option had cratered. Anytime you see anything that says 'this will speed up your pc by cleaning the registry' it's best to steer clear.
