Hi,
Sometimes when I log in to a chat room for the second time but with different nic name, some one says he can see that I am the same person...because, he says he can se we have the same IP-adress.
Is he telling the truth? Can he see my IP-adress? And if so how does one do that?

The chat room server software could be displaying your public IP address when you join the chat or may give others in the room the option of seeing your IP address. If the chat room has an FAQ section they may have information on how to display the IP address for others.

Ok thanx,
Does every one have the same IP address at all times?
It depends on your Internet Service Provider. A residential customer usually has a dynamic IP address that may change any time the broadband modem has been disconnected or turned off for some period of time and then reconnects. Other providers may offer a dynamic IP address that does not change for days even if the modem is disconnected for some time.

how do I access that?
I have no idea how to do that if you are talking about how to view someone's IP address in the chat room.

The easiest way to find your public IP address is to go to a web site that reports it for you. Two such sites are www.whatismyip.com and www.ipchicken.com. There is also a web site suitable for mature males that gives a visual and spoken report of their public IP address.
