I have a Dell desktop computer on a wireless internet connection and it worked and connected to the internet fine for about two weeks. Then randomly it stopped connecting... it finds the wireless signal and tries to connect then stops suddenly. i have tried to repair the connection and it always freezes at the part that says requesting IP address or something or other. I have gone into control panel and network and internet and all of that and when i get to the place where it shows you what your ip usually is on Internet Options it says all zeros. How do i fix this? it IS set on automatically obtain IP address.....

    what do i do?? =)

IP addresses of are normally caused by one of the following.

    1. DHCP Service not running.
    2. Duplicate IP address on the network.
    3. Bad NIC card drivers.
    4. Defective NIC hardware.

    1. Check Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services. The DHCP Client service should be Started and its Startup Type should be Automatic.
    2. Turn off ALL of the computers and other network connected devices, reboot the router, then restart all the computers and other network devices.
    3. Check for upgraded drivers and/or reload the Network drivers.
    4. Replace the Network Interface Card.
