Hi, I set up a home network using 2 computers and a router. I am using a homegroup so i can share files and access the desktop on each. For some reason, one of my PC's keeps on having its Internet Protocol version 4 adapter settings changed from option an IP address automatically to use the following IP address by itself. The IP address it is using is 192.168.1.155 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. I use private internet access as a VPN which also uses those settings.
Why is that happening and how do I stop it from doing so?
I can't think of any reason why your network connection would change from dynamic to static. Maybe someone in your house is changing the configuration.
Hi, I use to 3rd party softwares on my laptop. One is callclerk and the other is Private internet access. The issue I am having is one of them keep on changing my adapter IP4 settings from DHCP to Use the following IP address and I lose internet connectivity. The only way I can connect to internet again is to change the settings back.
I am told the both use connection type of UPD. I am told by Callclerk developer that this is not an issue. I don't think PIA ppl know if there is a conflict between the 2 or not.
