I have accidentally operated the" Find My" option and selected off while setting up this new iPad. How do I turn it back on?

There should be an app called Find My. It may be in a folder called Extras. You can use the search option to find the app.

Also look under Settings > Apple ID > Find My an you should be able to turn it on there too.

Thanks for the reply, but I understood that if the FIND MY app is turned off something has to be done to turn it back on. I did go into my iPad cloud acct at the top left side and went over to the find my option switch and pushed it on but will this satisfy Apple. I hope you can understand what I am trying to convey to you. With all the switches on including "my location", it does not show my iPad location. This is why I was wondering if the find my app is actually back on.

I assume you are connected to an internet connection? It took me a minute before my ipad was found.

Assuming that you are using the same AppleID I am not sure myself. There should be an app for Apple Support that you can chat with them to see why it's not showing.

If you haven't done anything else to the ipad (i.e. set it up more) then you can try resetting the iPad to default.
