I used to be able to sync my iphone to Outlook, but it stopped doing it (years ago actually). I got by without it but need to do it now.
I've looked on Google and have checked various solutions (location of .pst file, removed everything except iTunes Outlook Addin in the Trust Centre) and nothing worked.
    I'm running windows 7 and iOS 6.1.2
    Help will be appreciated

What is the exact error? When does it fail?

Sorry, I should have mentioned that. It actually goes thru the whole process (six steps) without any error.
No contacts are sycn'ed or copied

Can you try to setup the sync again and list the steps that you use. That would be the most informative.

Connect and select the phone, select Info
The options selected are Sync Contact and Calendar, nothing else is selected.
Click Sync. The six steps are: 1 Waiting to Sync, 2 Backup, 3 Preparing to Sync, 4 Sync Contacts, 5 happens too quickly to see, 6 Waiting for Sync.
There is no error messages, but when I check my phone no transfer seems to have taken place

You should be able to find a log somewhere. Maybe it will have more information. There is usually an option to choose an Outlook profile or pst file when setting up the initial sync.

Made enquiries on the net and doesn't seem to be any log.
    Reinstalled iTunes, no change
