Hi I am wondering if anyone knows any good tutorials about ip addressing.

For example, I have a router and thats connected to my sympatico modem, and whenever I go to www.whatismyip.com I get my ip to be 69.***......
But I have a router so shouldn't every site read my 192.168 address?
I wonder how that works, and what if you had a firewall?

that is because you have a router/firewall to protect your system. that is good. If everyone in the Internet can access see your private ip, you will have a lot problems.

If you need to find both, there is a small free program that can show both your LAN and WAN IP address

    http://keir.net/ip2.html

It will also show the computer name as well
