    I am trying to connect to IRC with C++. I get this error (a relpy from the irc server):

    451 JOIN :You have not registered

    This is my code:
    Code:
        sprintf(buf, "USER %s \"%s\" \"%s\" :%s\r\n", user, website, hostirc, user);
        send(sockethandle, buf, sizeof(buf), 0);

        sprintf(buf, "NICK %s\r\nJOIN %s\r\n", nick, channel);
        send(sockethandle, buf, sizeof(buf), 0);
    I have looked everywhere on the internet and everywhere says I need to send
    USER %s \"%s\" \"%s\" :%s\r\n
    then
    NICK whatever

    But I do that and I get the error. I cant figure anything out. Please help. Thanks.:)
