I have been trying to use Irfanview to resize some pictures so that I can upload them.It seems to have worked with the filesize less than the 600k required in order to upload. This may not be a software problem exactly by I just get an error message saying 'an unknown error has occurred' when trying to upload which isn't very helpful.Does anyone know why this could be?

What are you using to upload the pictures, and where are you uploading them?

If be "upload" you mean you are attempting to send the pics to someone over the internet, don't bother trying to make them smaller... Try YouSendIt. You can send files as large as 1 Gb on this site. Works great. (y)
