I also received the notice from the IRS and opened the file. I was able to restore my computer to two days before the virus struck, but none of my Library Folders or their content are visible, nor are all of my favorites. If I try to create a folder like Documents or Pictures I get a message that the folde already exists. Same thing when I try to save a favorite, I am told the link already exists and asks if I want to overwrite the existing link.
How do I restore the missing Libraries, folders and favorites?
    PLease help!

Hiya and welcome to Tech Support Guy :)

    Can you download this file:

    http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/reg/FixNCR.reg

double-click on it, and then allow the changes to be imported.

Please download Rkill and save to your Desktop.
    • Double-click on the Rkill desktop icon to run the tool.
    • If using Vista or Windows 7 right-click on it and Run As Administrator.
    • A black DOS box will briefly flash and then disappear. This is normal and indicates the tool ran successfully.
    • If you get an alert from the rogue that RKill is a threat, leave that alert open and re-run RKill again.

Then, update MBAM and select Perform full scan, and save the log file to the desktop.

    Copy/paste the log here.
