Is 76C or 168F too hot for my CPU?

    Hi People,

    I replaced my AMD Socket 7 2600 with a socket 7 3000, When I did this my cpu temp from from 150 to 170F degrees. Is this safe or do I need to get a new fan too?

    95c max, If you have a stock heat sink install a upgrade. Also a good thermal paste and the right applaction is necessary.
