i recently formatted a drive with some valuable data on it. Then to make the problem even worse, i then copied 90gb of data onto the formatted drive. does this mean that the original data is permanently overwritten?

its a 500gb drive so im hoping it cant have overwritten all of it.

iv tried Easeus Data recovery and Recuva. Both say they find files when scanning but when the scan is finished they say there is nothing there to recover.

Any help would be much appreciated

Looks like your data has gone mate. But you have a backup of the valuable data dont you?

You obviously need some backup training

You aren't going to be able to get at it, but a specialist recovery centre may be able to.
